Il Castello di Miramare

Una delle piu' belle e famose attrattive di Trieste e' Il Castello di Miramare ed il suo splendido Parco.

Costruito dall'Arciduca Massimliano d'Asburgo fratello dell'Imperatore Francesco Giuseppe sul promontorio di Grignano, e' situato in una posizione meravigliosa a picco sul mare e circondato da un magnifico parco alberato in cui sono presenti numerose specie botaniche anche esotiche portate da Massimiliano stesso nel corso dei suoi numerosi viaggi. Inoltre lo specchio d'acqua antistante al Castello e' stato dichiarato Riserva Marina pertanto e' vietata la navigazione, la pesca e la balneazione, creando cosi' un rifugio per numerose specie marine.

Il Castello fatto erigere come residenza dell'Arciduca e' visitabile al suo interno, in cui e' possibile ammirare gli sfarzosi arredi e la splendida vista del mare che offre. Il Parco e' pure  accessibile al pubblico negli orari stabiliti ed e' una spelndida sintesi di aromi ed armonie mediterranee ed esotiche con l'azzuro del mare a fare da cornice. Non e' raro che gli uccelli e gli scoiattoli vengano a nutrirsi dalle mani di chi gli offre generosamente del cibo. Una visita a Miramare e' un'esperienza imperdibile in quanto pochi luoghi riescono ad essere cosi' suggestivi ed ammalianti. 

One of the most famous and beautiful sights of Trieste is The Castle of Miramare and its beautiful park.
Built by the Archduke of Austria Massimliano brother of Emperor Franz Joseph on the promontory of Grignano, and 'situated in a wonderful place overlooking the sea and surrounded by a magnificent wooded park where there are also many exotic plant species brought by Maximilian himself during his many travels. Furthermore, the water in front of the castle is declared Marine Reserve and therefore is forbidden navigation, fishing and bathing, thus creating a refuge for many marine species.
The castle, built as a residence and Archduke, is open to the visitors inside, where you can admire the sumptuous decor and stunning sea views offering. The Park is accessible to the public  and it's a  synthesis of Mediterranean and exotic aromas and harmonies with the deep blue sea as a frame. It 's not uncommon for birds and squirrels come to feed from the hands of those who generously offered him food. A visit to Miramare is a great experience as few places manage to be so charming and enchanting.
